Minister’s Message

Dear Friend,
It is my joy to welcome you to the Unity Church of the Hill Country website. You are here, perhaps, out of curiosity, or at a friend’s urging, or on a spiritual quest that won’t let you rest until you find answers. May you find those answers, if not here—now— then in your perfect setting, soon.

Like you, I have explored many faith practices through the years. I find Unity to be profoundly life transforming and a very practical approach to the Bible, to Jesus’ teachings and to our many human paths to God.

In Unity, we believe that each one of us is a beloved child of God and that within us is the power and love to overcome all things. We believe that through God in us, we can live the ideals Jesus Christ taught us long ago.

At Unity Church of the Hill Country, we are a friendly community of people who are open to deeper understanding of spiritual, scientific, and psychological approaches to the higher ideals of life—in our families and work places, in our community, and in the world.

We have a great interest in exploring alternative and traditional healing modalities; finding environmental and economic approaches to loving our planet and each other; and discovering ways to live the abundant live promised us in the Bible. We practice and encourage intentional dialogue for resolving conflict and becoming the peace we want to see in our world. In short, through our work, our actions, our prayers, and our highest intentions, we are always exploring and experiencing our deepening connection with God.

If you find our teachings to be of interest to you, contact us for a bi-monthly newsletter, with information about our current events, classes, workshops, and services. We also send weekly e-reminders to those who ask to receive them.

Our office hours are Monday through Thursday from 10:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. weekdays, and on Sunday mornings. We have a wonderful metaphysical lending library and a small bookstore; drop in and browse.

If you are struggling with anything in your life, please feel free to call for an appointment with me. Together, through conversation and prayer, we can find God in the midst of the struggle.
