New Here? Welcome!
We’re so glad you’re here. Visiting a new church can feel like a big step, and we want you to know that you’ll be welcomed just as you are. Here are answers to a few questions you may have before your first visit.
What should I wear?
Come as you are! Whether you feel most comfortable in jeans and a T-shirt, shorts, or your Sunday best, you’ll fit right in. Our community is relaxed, friendly, and more interested in getting to know you than what you’re wearing.
What happens during a service?
Our Sunday services are designed to inspire, uplift, and encourage. Each service typically includes welcoming music, a guided meditation, practical spiritual teachings based on Unity’s Five Principles, and time for reflection and prayer. Whether you’re seeking peace, hope, healing, or simply a place to connect, you’ll find an atmosphere of acceptance and encouragement.
Will I fit in?
Absolutely. Our community is made up of people from many different spiritual backgrounds. Some grew up in traditional churches, some have explored many spiritual paths, and others have never attended church before. Wherever you are on your journey, you are welcome here.
We believe every person is inherently worthy and that each of us is on a unique spiritual path. Unity offers practical spiritual tools that can help you navigate life’s challenges and experience greater peace, joy, and purpose.
Do I have to be a member?
Not at all. There is no expectation to become a member. You’re welcome to visit, participate, ask questions, and simply see if Unity feels like home. Whether you attend once, occasionally, or every Sunday, you’ll always be warmly welcomed.
Where do I park?
We have plenty of free parking available on our church property, including accessible parking near the entrance. Our greeters are happy to help you find your way if you have any questions.
Are children welcome?
Absolutely! Children are always welcome at Unity of the Hill Country. We offer Kid Kits with coloring books, crayons, and quiet activities to help young ones enjoy the service alongside their families.
What if I’m spiritual but not religious?
You’ll feel right at home. Many people who find Unity are seeking a spiritual community rather than a traditional religious experience. Unity honors the wisdom found in all faith traditions while focusing on practical spiritual principles that can be applied in everyday life.
You don’t have to believe a certain way to belong here. Bring your questions, your curiosity, and your authentic self. Whether you’re exploring spirituality for the first time or have been on a lifelong journey, you’ll find a welcoming community where you can grow at your own pace.
