A New Chapter at Unity of the Hill Country: Welcoming Rev. Beverly Pryor

Unity of the Hill Country is pleased to welcome Rev. Beverly Pryor as our new Minister of Record, beginning an exciting new chapter for our spiritual community.

For many in our congregation, Rev. Bev needs little introduction. Having served as our minister in the past, she already knows our church, our community, and many of the people who call Unity of the Hill Country their spiritual home.

“It is a true joy to reconnect with you,” Rev. Bev says. “Having had the privilege of serving as your minister in the past, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to once again walk alongside you as your Minister of Record.”

Her return comes at an important time for Unity of the Hill Country as we look toward the future and consider how we can continue to grow—not only in numbers, but in connection, spiritual enrichment, service, and community.

Board President Bruce Woodworth says the Board of Trustees is excited to work with Rev. Bev in the months ahead, with a continued focus on strategic planning, communications, membership growth and development, programming, and the financial health of Unity of the Hill Country.

But this new chapter is about more than plans and programs. At the heart of it is a shared vision for what our church can be.

Rev. Bev describes it beautifully as “the unfolding vision of this beloved spiritual community.” It is a vision that belongs to all of us—our minister, our Board, our members, our volunteers, our visitors, and those who have yet to walk through our doors.

“Together, we can continue creating a welcoming, loving, and Spirit-led environment where every person is encouraged to grow, serve, and shine their unique light.”

Those words reflect the spirit of Unity of the Hill Country and the community we hope to continue building together—a place where people can explore their spirituality, find meaningful connections, experience prayer and meditation, serve others, and feel genuinely welcomed just as they are.

As we move forward, there is also a sense of anticipation about what this next season may bring.

“My heart is filled with gratitude and anticipation as we begin this new chapter together,” Rev. Bev says.

Perhaps that is the best way to describe this moment at Unity of the Hill Country: gratitude for where we have been, excitement for where we are going, and trust in what is still unfolding.

Rev. Bev will join us as a guest speaker in November, when our congregation will have the opportunity to welcome her in person.

Until then, she leaves our Unity family with a beautiful thought:

“Please know that you are held in my prayers, and I am excited to see all that Spirit will reveal through and as our shared ministry of love.”
